OMG!! I have FINALLY started this blogging life! I mean it has only taken me like 7 years..Don’t judge me. So for those of you who are not following me on social media first of all…umm ya late..Secondly, Hello There!! Let me introduce myself a little. I am Summer. Mom to two amazingly beautiful girls and wife to the most handsome soldier. Yes, we are a military family that also happens to homeschool (even before Covid-19 days). We have moved so many times that I am starting to lose count, but I’m forever grateful for the opportunities.
So more about me and the intentions of this blog. I became a mom in 2013. Prior to the mom life I worked full time for the government, and honestly never pictured myself as being a fulltime SAHM, but here I am! My husband and I thought it would be best for me to stay home at least until our oldest was able to properly communicate. Well, by the time that happened..surprise here comes baby number 2. Our second daughter was born in 2017, and from that point on I knew that I wanted to homeschool both girls while also making my dreams come true. Umm..no one told me this was going to be so hard!!
I became a business owner in 2015 with my focus being on the elderly community. I then discovered a passion for children’s clothing..particularly girls dresses (I mean duh) but quickly found out the time it takes to make everything work was something I didn’t have since I am now homeschooling 2 kids on 2 different grade levels. My husband and therapist (Yes…we will get into that later) encouraged me to look into something that comes natural to me and something that I enjoy. And that would be encouraging other moms and writing. So when you add those two things together, ya get BLOGGING!!
My primary interest includes looking cute, gardening, and baking. I recently started this cute journey. I mean, it has always been my thing, but honey….I’m going to show yall my transformation. The interest in gardening was a way to help with grieving, and baking has always been an interest, but some how escalated once I became a mom.
